06.1 Mouse controls
Use the mouse to move around the display.
Click an object to identify it, and to reach the Object information dialog.
Double click to center the Sky window on any point.
Hold SHIFT and drag (hold the left mouse button down whilst moving the mouse) to zoom in on a point in the Sky window. As you drag, a box will appear showing the area that will fill the screen. Release the mouse to action the zoom. Choose Undo from the Edit menu (or click the Undo button in the Control panel header, or press CTRL+Z) to reverse the change.
Hold ALT and drag to zoom out. As you drag, a box will appear which shows how large the present full screen will be after the zoom out (i.e. the smaller the box, the bigger the zoom out step. After the zoom out, the screen will be centered on the spot at the center of the zoom out box. Choose Undo from the Edit menu (or click the Undo button in the Control panel header, or press CTRL+Z) to reverse the change.
Hold CTRL and drag to measure the angle (in degrees, minutes and seconds) between two points in the sky. The result is displayed in the status bar.
Click the right mouse button to obtain context-sensitive menus.
06.2 The Status bar

The Status bar at the bottom of the Sky window, displays information about your Sky window field of view and the celestial co-ordinates of the current cursor position (using the equatorial system (RA/Dec). The Status bar can be opened or closed from the Windows menu.
If you have selected real time tracking (see section 20. Working with Time), a flashing clock symbol appears in the Status bar.
If you are using the precise orbit calculation feature (with an asteroid, comet or spacecraft), the operation of the integrator will be shown by a moving wavy green line in the status bar.
06.3 Copying the Sky window
You can copy the contents of the Sky window to the clipboard. See section 40.3 Printing the screen for details.
